Thymus serpyllum， commonly known as Wild Thyme or Creeping Thyme， is a low-growing， perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is a member of the mint family (Lamiaceae) and is prized for its aromatic foliage， tiny flowers， and spreading growth habit. Creeping Thyme spreads by sending out runners or stems that root along the ground， allowing the plant to cover large areas relatively quickly. It typically grows to a height of 2 to 4 inches and can spread several feet wide， making it an excellent ground cover for sunny， well-drained areas.
